Final Statement
While this project is by no means complete or final, we have directed the course of this proposal to reflect what we have learned over the duration of the project about different desalination methods and their impacts on multiple variables. What we have concluded is that our chosen desalination method, multi-effect distillation, and the logistics of this plan should be used instead of our initial choice, reverse osmosis. We have compared the two plans and the impacts and effects that both have on the people, the economy and the environment in order to help inform those who wish to pursue future endeavors.
It is important to remember that even the actions of just one individual can make a big difference. Choosing to adjust to a more sustainable lifestyle can significantly impact the future of Arizona’s water supply and the health of the entire state. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this growing problem. We hope that our project will serve as a catalyst for further study and action!
